Come join Rarinda Prakarsa and Francis Ansing in a photography workshop down to the beautiful region of Japan, Yamanashi Prefecture. This program 'The Magic of Japan' will give you tons of opportunities to photograph people wearing traditional Japanese clothes around three stunning lakes filled with blossoming pink flowers of cherry trees (Sakura).
All our locations feature the iconic Mount Fuji on the background. The genres of magical exoticism of culture, landscape and people photography are the focus in this trip! Also, you will learn landscape and portrait shooting techniques from the two facilitators involved in this workshop. Post-processing session will be conducted inside our villa as a conclusion of the workshop.

Easy (walking of 5-10 minutes on generally flat surface to locations except for Chureito Pagoda that has around 400 ascending steps)
Flights
Participants must arrive at least one day (March 25th) before the start of the workshop. Please stay in a hotel close to Shinjuku Station, Tokyo. Departure flight can be in the evening of March 29th or the day after (March 30th) for you not to rush to the airport during the end of the workshop. Tokyo Narita or Haneda Airport are the two closest airports to Shinjuku.

Payment and Cancellation Policy 50% payment of the fee must be made upon registration. Second or final payment is due 90 days prior to the workshop. Down payment is nonrefundable. If cancelling after the final payment has been made, 25% of it is refundable between 60 and 30 days prior to the workshop. No refund will be given if cancelling within 30 days prior to the workshop.

The Itinerary:
Day 1 (March 26 Tuesday| Lake Yamanaka Flower Park)
10.00: Meet up at Shinjuku Station.
10.30: Board our shuttle to Lake Yamanaka.
13.00: Check in at our hotel in Lake Yamanaka. Prepare for the afternoon shoot.
15.00: Afternoon shoot at the Lake Yamanaka Flower Park. This is a really beautiful spot to photograph a model wearing a Japanese traditional clothes and Mount Fuji with a vast field of beautiful flowers on the foreground.
Meals: Lunch, Dinner
Day 2 (March 27 Wednesday | Lake Yamanaka Swans and Lake Kawaguchiko)
05.00: Wake up call.
05.30: Sunrise shoot at the lakeside with swans. We will go to the side of Lake Yamanaka that has plenty of swans. They are a great subject and foreground element and you have Mount Fuji on the background. A model feeding the swans is a good concept for this morning shoot.
11.00: Check out. We will ride our shuttle to Lake Kawaguchiko.
13.00: Check in at our villa in Lake Kawaguchiko. Prepare for sunrise shoot.
15.00: Shoot by the lakeside with a female and male model wearing traditional Japanese clothes. This is one of the most beautiful spots around Mount Fuji.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 3 (March 28 Thursday | Lake Kawaguchiko and Chureito Pagoda)
05.00: Wake up call.
05.30: Sunrise shoot at Oishi Park with a model wearing other traditional clothes.
15.00: Afternoon shoot at Chureito Pagoda. This is a very beautiful pagoda. You can put this structure on the foreground of your image while Mount Fuji sits behind it as a background.
21.00: Post-processing session at our villa.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 4 (March 29 Friday | Lake Saiko)
05.00: Morning shoot by the lakeside of Saiko Lake. This is the spot and scene printed on the back of 1000 yen bill.
10.00: Check out and depart for Shinjuku.
