The workshop is about learning how to combine the amazing scenery (environment) and its exotic native people in one photograph. Plus... learning to create portrait: Finding the place, lighting treatment (natural and strobe), posing etc. This time, we will visit the magical place of Mt Bromo and meet Tenggerese. And we will have a chance to shoot landscape as well. Only 6 people will have a chance to join in one session for the convenience & effectiveness of absorbing the technic.
The Date: Aug, 3rd-5th 2018
The schedule:
First day:
Meeting point at Juanda Airport Surabaya. Participants will need to arrive before 11 am.
11.00: Heading to Mt Bromo and lunch on the way to Bromo
3.30 pm: ETA to Bromo . First glance of Mt Bromo scenery, getting to know some amazing location and taking some environmental portrait before checking-in hotel. Have dinner at hotel and small presentation about workshop and tomorow's schedule.
2nd day:
4.00 am: Heading to 3rd point of view. Amazing sunsrise for landscape photography.
6.00-7.30 : Combining the landscape and portrait photography. Combining flash and available light. Posing for portrait photography. Location: 3rd point view.
8.15: Breakfast
9.00-10.00: Environmental portrait at Whispering Sands.
12.00-15.00 Lunch, proceed with post processing: Raw developing and how develop a drama for portrait photography using special technic in Photoshop.
15.30-18.00: Another session for portrait around 2nd Bromo-Point of View. How to find beautiful scenery for background and finding available light
19.00: Dinner.
3rd day:
5.00 am: Sunrise at Whispering Sands.
6.00: Heading to crater and temple area. Last session for environmental portrait.
8.00 : Breakfast
9.00-11:30 : Workshop done, packing and heading back to airport.
3.30 pm: Estimated Time Arrival at Juanda Airport.
The Fee:
All included except your flight and personal expenses. Participants will stay in Lava Hotel Group with 2 person in each room. Participant that prefer to stay in a single room are recommended to inform us earlier so we can make further arrangement (additional charges apply). Additional charge: USD 110

Wide to medium lenses (Range 16-35mm/17-40mm/24-70 are most recommended). Plus tele lenses (range 70-300mm)

All type of external speedlites with trigger/receiver. (Manual or TTL/Hispeed) OR using provided lighting equipment from organizer.

Non-photography: Passport/visa, Thick jacket, gloves, biscuit/medicines for personal needs, and recommended to only bring small or medium luggage. The temperature at Mt Bromo ranges from 3 to 20 degrees celcius.
