This 7-days trip will bring to capture the essence of this country.

  • Where : Fly to Kathmandu (KTM)  and by jeep to Pokhara

  • What: Environmental portrait, street and scenery photography

  • Who: Anyone who keen about portrait, culture and nature. Any level of photography skill and have adventurous spirit. This trip only for 6 people.

Here is the plan:

 

Day 1-Arrival at Tribuvan Airport Kathmandu from your homecity. Expected to arrive by 20:35. [Processing Visa on Arrival is usully takes around 15-45 minutes. Cost around USD25]. Airport transfer to hotel.

Day 2 - After breakfast on the following day we will begin to explore the old city of Kathmandu: Thamel, Durbar Square.  After that , We will go to Bhaktapur.  There is also part of the village where people’s daily activities is making pottery. Completing the day we will go to Boudhanath Temple

Day 3 -After breakfast we will go to the biggest and most famous  temple Phasupatinath, sacred Hindu temple located on the banks of the Bagmati River where the cremation activities takes place. Here many “photogenic” faces as subject of portraits. Unlike in Ganges river, people are allowed to see and take photo of cremation.

We’ll spend the afternoon of day-3 in Swayambunath temple attop of the Kathmandu Valley. Here we can look over the city of Kathmandu

Day 4 -We will start the trip to beautiful city of Pokhara. Unlike Kathmandu-the city rich with its culture and heritage-Pokhara offers natural beauty around the majestic Himalaya: Beautiful Phewa lake and all green and blue nature. You have a chance to see all the nature from the sky with paragliding (subject to personal expenses around USD100).

Reached the city in the afternoon. And we will explore the Phewa Lake and World Peace Pagoda.

Day 5- We will start the day very early in order to see the beautiful sunrise over Annapurna range from Sarangkot. After people start  leaving the place, we will have a chance taking portrait of local with Himalaya as background.Afternoon, we will spend time at  Vindhyavasini  temple and take some portrait with the city of Pokhara as background.

Day 6-Visiting back to Phewa lake at different side: A beautiful reflection of the the Annapurna range in the lake. And chance to experience paragliding. We wil leave the city by afternoon. And expected to reach Kathmandu by evening.

 

Day 7-We will have free and easy time after breakfast. We can spend time for evaluating and post processing our photographs or taste some locals dishes before leaving the city to homecountry at noon. My flight departs at 12:30.

 

The Fee:

USD All included, except lunch-dinner, personal expenses and tip. Participants will have double occupancy room. Participant that prefer to stay in a single room are recommended to inform us earlier so we can make further arrangement (additional charges applied). 

USD deposit is required to reserve your spot.

Refund-cancelation:

  • 91 days or more before departure: $150 USD cancellation fee, plus any additional costs incurred, as well as any fees that are charged by the suppliers providing the services included in your tour. If your spot is filled by another participant, we’ll refund your deposit minus payment processing fees and $50 USD administrative fee.

  • 61-90 days before departure: $100 USD cancellation fee, plus any additional costs incurred, as well as fees, if applicable, that are charged by the suppliers providing the services included in your tour. If your spot is filled by another participant, we will refund your deposit minus payment processing fees and $50 USD administrative fee.

  • 60 days or less before departure or anytime after departure: No refund

The Equipment

  • All type/brand of DSLR/Mirrorless

  • From wide to tele: 16 to 200mm will be usefull. However I recommend to only bring maximum 3 lenses for your convenience.

  • All type of external speedlites with trigger/receiver. (Manual or TTL/Hispeed)

  • Light Tripod 

  • Laptop+mouse with Adobe Camera Raw/Lighroom and Photoshop CC installed. Optional only if you have anything to ask or consult about post processing.

  • Non-photography requiremen: Passport, visa (Please check as mostly countries are required VOA only), sweater (yes sweater as I came in the same month it was just chill), personal needs, and recommended to only bring small or medium luggage.
